Welcome to www.weloveourlife.com. This is our page dedicated to our adventures while touring the Canadian Rockies. We decided to stray from our usual format for this vacation, since this was like no other vacation we have taken before. Below you will find our itinerary and links for each of our days on the trip. You can see pictures of our trip on each day's page. Or you can look at all of the pictures on our Canadian Rockies' Picture Page. We took the Western Explorer tour and upgraded hotels as well as upgraded to Gold Leaf service. We highly recommend upgrading the train trip to Gold Leaf, which gave us the dome coach. We also recommend upgrading the hotels. We dealt with Renata Nowak of Runaway Travel, a most knowledgeable and organized travel agent. She provided great, very responsive service, and mailed us our tickets and complete itinerary (with all necessary vouchers) more than a month before our trip, which gave us time to get excited and gave us a comfortable feeling, knowing we had everything we needed. Because we went to the Canadian Rockies during the summer (high season), we planned our trip four months in advance (back in February). The best times to travel to the Canadian Rockies (if you wish to do so in the summer) is the end of June through the beginning of September. Since this is not a very big window, make your reservations early. For other itineraries that are available check out the Rocky Mountaineer webpage. There are bus tours, Alaskan cruises, and ski vacations available as well.
